It's your call though.
Thanks Alan, yes a bit of a messing about to drain a full tank of 2T. Bit of a snowy week forecast for East Yorkshire, but hope to soon get the first 100 miles in.

Ran the engine up to working temperature today in the drive. Managed to get up to 3rd gear down the drive. Salt everywhere on the roads though. The council gritting depot is just round the corner so we often get a double dose. After adjusting the timing and tickover it's all sounding good. Just need some rain to clear the salt and I will be out on the East Yorkshire roads to get my first 100 miles in.

Look forward to seeing it on the local roads......will go out in the car in a minute and see how clean the roads are before deciding it they are fit for purpose yet, as it is a lovely morning (as you will see when you open the curtains).

At last got some miles in on the rebuilt engine. Rode to the Lincolnshire Bike Night at the Nelthorpe Arms, South Ferriby with a pal on a Kettle which is also being run in. 70 miles covered tonight and running fine. Have just about done 100 miles now. Been keeping it under 4500 rpm. Was good to get out on it. Good night at the bike night too. Met Steve Wharton and had a good chat with him.

Sounds like win win H.
See you about soon. Make sure it's run in for the rally - don't want them 750s showing the 550s up!!

A good night at the Nelthorpe Arms at South Ferriby near the Humber Bridge last night, met Harrymail who came with my mate Martin from over the bridge in yorkieland, Martin on his "L" kettle and Harry on his 550. Had a good chat and it seems like Harry's had more than his fair share of woes with his bike, hopefully all sorted now.
Good to see three 70s two strokes amongst all the Harleys and also good to find that the Warlocks are a right friendly bunch. So maybe see you both next Wednesday, weather permitting, because a polar vortex has been forecast again
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".
