Re: wd40 in tank
I had a spare tank for my bike on the shelf for 10 years! I bought it because the inside had been treated. Every month or so I sprayed WD40 in there and replaced cap. Did the trick just had the outside sprayed and it's now on the bike. Kev Canaletto had to give it a good clean out first. But it worked and is still rust free.

I did the same when I sent my T500 tank to Kev for painting. I cleaned it out with crystals first and the plugged the fuel tap hole up, sprayed the best part of a can of WD40 in it then plugged the filler hole up and swished it around. The tank is still like new inside nine months after Kev painted it.
