gt500 engine finish

just a quick one guys , did the gt500 have pai ted barrels and heads from new or metal finish ? never had a new one and the restored ones i see seem to be painted !

I'm not 100% sure but all the motors I've seen where bare metal.
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

I think they are much more likely to have been mill finish. Vapour blasting gives a great result I think with no risk of paint flaking off or discolouring.

Yep - va[our blasted my GT barrells and they look fantastic- just like new !!
