Clutch Pushrod.

Post by Dbailey »

Hi all,
Just looking for some confirmation.. I have to change the clutch pushrod shaft oil seal and would just like to check which way the pushrod should be fitted. The ends of the rod are different one has a rounded end and the other is square/flat. I did not rebuild the engine so do not know how it should be. It was fitted with the flat end to the adjuster in the cover which I would have thought was in correct. I would have expected the flat end butting up against the end inside the clutch hollow shaft...

thanks
Dave Bailey.

So conflicting info there if I have understood the written instruction... the flat side is the end that goes into the release mechanism in the left cover. So actually it’s rounded side to flat side not flat to flat?

Thanks

IMHO it's not that crucial but I did mine as per the manual I think the idea is that the rounded end will not be rigid in operation and allow for some flexible movement.
