Fit a second tab washer?
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

If you have fitted a o ring chain you may have fit another washer behind the sprocket to stop the chain clipping the crankcase - it then clips the chainguard but we have to live with that

It is normal to have a bit of play in the sprocket that's why both new and old are the same.
