Evening all,
Am quietly progressing on my mini restoration - not a full blown job by any means but a nice tidy up. Anyway - got an electrical issue with my 1974 GT550 - no neutral light and no red leds lighting up on the dash to indicate which gear I'm in. Wiring looks ok back to the area near the battery where there is a multiplug connector and a single blue wire plug in connection - when I earth the blue wire I can get the biulb to light on the neutral so I'm guessing there is a fault in the connector at the gearbox end. I've removed this and got it on the bench - does anyone know the wiring colours for it. I'm assuming one of the wires is an earth ???
Cheers

Re: Gear Switch indicator Wiring
excellent thanks - thats exactly what I'm looking for - many thanks. Think the earth connection on my gear switch has disappeared !!!
Re: Gear Switch indicator Wiring
All sorted - got a working neutral light and gear indicator - well pleased. There is meant to be a little solid connection between the centre pin that earths via one of the screws holding it in place - mine had corroded to virtually nothing. Soldered a new wire in - works perfectly.
