Clutch cover gasket...

Post by Dbailey »

Hi all... I have to remove the clutch cover on my GT380 to reset the timing nylon sprocket. Question is do I use any sealer with the gasket?

I read a thread that said a smear of grease but not ever done this before....

Thanks

I just use a thin smear of grease, but only really to keep it in place whilst I replace the cover. You can usually use the same gasket for a good while before it needs replacing I find.
