76 550L carb plastic "Y"

Post by rderrick121 »

Hello all, While disassembling my carbs I broke the little plastic L the connects the 2 carbs farthest from the choke switch your fingers touch, one side is metal (brass?) and it is a male that goes into the carb itself and it turns into plastic where it is broke. I have looked at the schematic pictures and am not sure which part number it is, anybody know? Also the hoses that are supposed to be attached to this are for what? Do they go anywhere or just get routed down as breathers? Thanks!

They are just breathers and are clear plastic pipes 5mm-ish IIRC. :?

Your local Pets R Us have tubing for fish tanks. I’ve used that before and it’s also good for bleeding brakes. Failing that type “clear fuel tubing” into the eBay search bar ;)
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I've never seen the plastic Y for sale as a separate part from Suzuki. You might get the part from a Mikuni carb parts dealer such as Motocarb.
