accent

Post by Grayman »

Hi all,
I'm looking at a replacement for the points/condenser setup.
Can I buy the accent system in the uk or do I need to get it from Germany?

I believe you'll need to contact them in Germany (I did)
Easy process, order by email and send a PayPal.

Very happy with it,
Also Motobatt Battery is a good investment 8-)

It's a great system. So easy to fit and get the timing right.
Instant improvement over my old Boyer system (which failed after 15 years and left me stranded 150 miles from home  )

It looks like a good system, but be AWARE DO NOT CRANK ENGINE WITH IGNITION ON WITHOUT GROUNDING THE SPARK PLUGS. There doesn't appear to be any suitable diodes in circuit, I was called in by my local SUZUKI dealer last year, they had fitted one to a GT550 cranked the engine on the button, and watched the light go out and then no longer sparked.
Go for the Newtronic set up, see my post somewhere on site for more info.

It's in general chat about 1/2 way down.

Hi All, I got my accent ignition but when I pulled the original cam out the ignition timing plate cam with it.
Does the little tab line up with the whole in the crankshaft?
Cheers Graham
