I went with DID 530NZ chain it's a heavy duty one.
Sprockets from JT. Standard is 16 tooth front 40 rear but if you want a quicker acceleration try 15 tooth front 108 links

Re: Oil
I've just done exactly the same as Barney, DID NZ and JT sprockets. Had to shop about to get good prices on the sprockets. Big variation in prices.barney01 wrote:I went with DID 530NZ chain it's a heavy duty one.

I've just checked what I fitted last year. I remember now that I couldnt get a 36 rear from JT, they are no longer made. I used 16 front and 40 Rear, 108 links. This changes the ratio only slightly from 2.4:1 to 2.5:1 . Standard for the A model is 15/36 with 106 links and that was on my bike before I changed them. Holds 5th gear much better now, but was fitted at the same time as a full engine rebuild so most of the improvement will be from that I would assume.

Re: Oil
If you look on JT's website you will see that the 36 rear is no longer available. I tried all over to find one but couldn't get one. That was the reason I changed to 16/40 instead of the std (for my year) of 15/36.AlanB wrote:I can source a JT 16 th front sprocket but can not find a rear JT 36 th one yet. Wemento do a “ pattern” one whatever quality that is ?
