I'm sure I have read somewhere that the provision for twin discs was only introduced later on for the 550. Before that it was a matter of swapping for a 750 LH fork bottom.

Thanks to all who responded and I think that I have cleared up my confusion.

The parts lists for the 380 weren't overly helpful, as they tended not to show the right leg. However, they do show what models share parts and this led me to the 250 and the parts lists show the right leg to be the same as mine. I then googled for some 380 images and these showed "my" fork legs.

I don't know why, but I always associated the 380 as sharing parts with the 550, not the 250. Still, we live and learn!

Thanks again to all for your help.

Hi Alan

Yes, the 250 and 380 parts are the same. Great to hear you have solved the puzzle. You just need a set of 550 legs now :)

Thanks Kev.

I only bought the project for the engine that came with it - everything else is being passed on to pastures new.

I soon discovered that the parts were from a mixture of early and later GT550s, but I wasn't expecting some of them not to be 550 at all!
