Does anyone know what this rubber jobby is please?

Post by Gr8uncleal »

It came to me in a bag of miscellaneous GT550 parts.

Internal diameter is about 52mm.

Thanks in advance.

Cock ring? Never seen one, so just a guess.......
Size would be reasonable.

Ugh!

And to think that I've been handling it without gloves!

Looks like a piece of fork gaiter.

Thanks and I agree that at first sight it does. However, internal diameter is 52mm (hence Alan H's very modest comment!)!

Remember one end of the gaiter fits over the fork bottoms, and the other in the guide that’s attached to the bottom yoke,
So that’s 50+mm.

Yes!! You've nailed it - top of fork gaiter. On close inspection I can see where it's been cut.

Thanks for your help.

Alan, would you like it for your "toy box"?!
