SUZY GT380

Post by jono52 »

Hi everyone i have a gt 380 which i have finally got around to sorting. The thing is the carburettor bowls were left with fuel in and of course have gone white and pitted,is there anyone that can mould new ones or is there a way of cleaning them and sealing. Thanks in advance, John

Spray the bowls with carb cleaner and scrub with an old toothbrush until clean. If you have access to an ultrasonic cleaner this is the best way to get them properly clean.

Just one more bit of advice. When using the u/'s cleaner use only dedicated carb cleaner or similar. Lemon juice or anything acidic will clean well but will attack the metal alloy. don't ask how I know this!
