GT550 exhaust hanger snap

Never seen this happen before but then i guess there is a first time for everything... :shock: cant imagine what would cause this its not really under stress.

Hi Barney have you checked your rubbers bushes in the exhaust hanger bosses :?: got one that is starting to go but not in that area a bit lower in the wider part of the hanger

At Stafford I saw a 550 pipe for sale that had been repaired in exactly that place.
Currently without a GT, but looking

Dave i have replaced both rubber bushes in the footpeg/hanger and the triangular rubber spacer between the pipes. I guess its just 60,000 miles and 47 years of wear and it finally gave out!

Got it cleaned up and back on the bike :D
