I've never heard of it before you posted it, after doing a search it seems like an excellent product 8-) If I was in a bind and had no other choice I'd also use Permatex number 3.

A coloured sealant will tell you that all the jointed area has been covered as Rodent suggests black IMO i think a nice line of blue looks ok on a newly rebuilt motor but it's all down to choice :)
