carbs and stuff

Post by arthur »

I should have said in my previous post
I have not moved the points back plate I assume it is in standard place as the punch lines match the lines on the crank cases
and the points open at TDC as tested by a screw driver down the plug hole (I know its not very accurate !!

The points should open BEFORE TDC not at it,there should be a “F“ mark on your rotor somewhere, align that with the pointer and that’s the place your points should open. It’s a while since I had my 750 so I can only give you a rough guide
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!
