Suzuki gt550 380 carbs

Post by clemoxon »

Hi all
Been spending a lot of the day trying to clean off the decomposed black sticky glue, that was once gt550 carb linkage rubber covers. Has anyone found any chemicals that will remove this crap?

Clem,
I remember this lovely job. Its astonishingly nasty goo. I think carb cleaner was the only thing I found that would shift it, but slow sticky job even so. The thing to grab onto is, with luck, you will never have to do it again!
Cheers,
Mike

No good for twostrokejohnny then?
Proof that four strokes are over complicated

Not to burn as a fuel,But it's ok for cleaning.
But you can run a fourstroke on it.
