Alan,
Don't double disc it as you will just make me jealous that I didn't :-))
I've read though that it isn't really needed if your single is up to snuff and it'll just add weight. I'll admit it looks nicer though, more meaty.
Cheers!
Mike

Paint job looks fantastic! You can't beat the early model paint schemes.
What made you go for the blue tank decals?

Re: Slow starting
That was similar to the colour on the original paintwork so I went with it.
The 'decals' are sprayed on though - not stick on types. You can't feel the join as it is so well laquered.
I prefer the 'new' version though!! Not interested in 'concours' I want the bike to look good and be a reliable rider.
Hopefully she will be out of the garage on her wheels again this weekend - engine not done yet though.
Plenty of work still to do with electrics and other bits, all coming together nicely though.

Starting to come together - clocks are on now as well though. Hope to get the back wheel in this weekend, then I can get her out for some proper pics.
The black 550 in the background is the next one to be done - this winters' project. The 'D' model.......

Re: Slow starting
Very interesting I've never seen a green bike with the blue decals before. All the ones I've seen have dark green decals.Alan H wrote:That was similar to the colour on the original paintwork so I went with it.
Anyway I must get my finger out & finish mine!!!!

Re: Slow starting
I get half the stuff outside so that I have room to move about inside, Rodger.
Unfortunately when the weather is kak, that doesn't give me much scope for action!
I'd take the other bike to work and stash it with the two already there plus the pallet of engine spares and parts there as well, but the MD is due a visit and I don't want him to have a complete meltdown.
You know what these types are like - they think they are in charge..........
