To make it more interesting there are two types of late Borg warner starter clutch.
I really would like to meet the git who thought that one up.
I'll order one of each - 'just in case'. Then I'll know the difference anyhoo.

And these are the ones that 'don't fail'. Hmmmm.

Reiner has some of the later later type. Mine are the earlier later type - like the ones on Mikes 550B. Bugger.

Just had another email back off him, he's only got the later later type. Bugger.
Looks like the big hammer coming out again!

I'm so lucky, if I fell in a bucket full of nipples, I'd come out sucking me thumb.

As at May 2015, Reiner holds 12650-34020 at EU 29.
Looking at them closely, they're a thing of *wonder.

Mike if you look at my photo you will see that a tooth from the bearing has broken loose. The bearing works because the teeth are shaped more on one side therefore heavier. A spring gently holds the teeth in place and they grip the starter clutch gear.As the wheel spins still gripping it turns the motor. After a certain speed(the bike starts) centrifugal force pulls the teeth off the gear disengaging the starter motor. I agree it is a thing of wonder!

Now I can get rid of that electronic dash - with a bit of effort! That should annoy the purists with a bit of luck.....

Like your work, wondered about the fairing, what's it from and what did you do re bracketry.
I imagine you didn't just rely on that default fixing method..........string, looking at the rest of the work anyway.
