Not much happening in the garage due to the crap weather and my hands not being able to stand the cold - even with gloves on!
But, things move slowly onwards.....
There's another set in the loft to pick the best out of, and the middle one has been rechromed.
Yes, there are some about if you look carefully!
And some other bits;

Leave the outers off, the brakes work better without the outers. Well they do in the summer anywayAlan H wrote:I haven't got any. I'll make something similar.

it doesn't work of me. Maybe it should be longer in boiling water?RobMc wrote:Mike-success with the kettle method! footrests.jpgyeadon_m wrote:Rob,
Easy way which works to get 'em off or on is: boil a kettle (the tea making kind!) and pour boiling watter on the peg / rubber in a large enough glass jug to submerge the whole rubber. Leave 1 minute precisely (I know, this isn't GBBO). With rubber gloves on, or using your best T towel, yank out, pull on rubber while having bar clamped in workmate or similar. Might take two cycles to get it off, but one to gerrit on. A lick of washing up liquid on the bar end will help with refitting. Simples.

Thanks for that Kev, but I've got some of those. It's the outer covers that are missing. I'll cobble carefully make something fairly near original to keep the anoraks apoplectic!
