I will check it on the left cylinder. I have a broken thread on the left cylinder, so I'll fix it by the way.

Hi Tato
Ran this motor nearly 1000 miles,it ran quite well it has a A/B bottom end with a J/K top end had to band saw 32mm off the back fins to allow block carbs to fit and used an A base gasket

It gives me hope. And what happened later with this engine? It worked only for 1000 miles? Short :(

The problem here is if the crankcases were originally destined for Europe and we're fitted with Nikasil barrels then they are slightly different but if they were iron bores destined for USA then all j to b iron bore barrels will fit

Motor is on my work bench and still ok only dropped in the frame whilst original motor was under going a big end repair :) :) Handy to keep just as a quick replacement

Good to hear that. I am looking for a nikasil-cylinder on ebay. It's hard to buy. I'm sure I have crankcases who originally destined for Europe and fits with Nikasil
