GT750J: torque to apply on exhaust retainer flanges

Hi !
Who knows what torque to apply on the exhaust retainer flanges of a GT750J ?

Its far less than you might think. Its so easy to rip out the threads in the soft alloy, witness the number of old GTs with helicoils. If it seems to need tighter than a few lb ft to halt leaks, try genuine gaskets and/or heat-resistant RT silicone as a sealer.
Many here swear by tightening them up a little after each of the first 2-3 rides after which, if its sealed, it'll probably stay sealed.
Also, do make sure the rear mounts 'float' in the frame-mounted bushes. You should be able to wiggle the rear end of all the pipes by a few mm.
