SUZUKI RE 5 / found

Post by Kevine6959 »

Hi all out there some quick guidance needed

I am out in the USA at this time..... Please read this about the RE 5

I have come across three of these bikes from 1975, all are intact with the motor all running freely ... They are covered in dust as you would expect from a genuine barn find. It is said that at least two could run but have been sat for a while.

I am just a private guy on this forum .... I don't think these were ever that popular like the standard water cooled GT.

Am not looking to profit etc .... I can get these but is it really worth the hassle .... Are they needed or wanted

Message me if its worth chasing ... They are not for me as I have a small collection of GT etc

Kev....... This is a genuine posting ... I value all the guys on here who have helped me so this is honest and genuine

An RE5 might be less of a bad habit than.....................

I loved the original space cadet RE5 with cylindrical instrument binnacle, but I'm not sure I have space in my wallet, shop or heart for one. For anyone with a "collection" of bikes, an RE5 could be an interesting bike to have.

Hi all out there ..... Have been missing for a while covering large amount of miles and breaking down ..... Lots trust me aaaah

I really appreciate the contact from the great guys and Gals ( politically correct ha ha ) re these bikes ... I have sent replies to the questions asked and will anything I can to help anyone.

The bikes are still there covered in dust .... The owner is playing hard ball on the price etc .... They still sat in the back of the barn ..... Him sticking to his guns ..... And I think he is silly as these are quite indivual and specialist bikes, not everyone's cup of tea .... It would make them about 6500 pounds arriving here with Nova , duties paid.

I have been speaking to a great guy on here about them all and I thought I could get them at a better price but that's the way things stand, it is fare to say he would have them at the lower price. I respect him and just putting it out there about what is currently happening and replied to messages. That's what I like to do transparent and straight.

Anyway that's the state of play ... I am playing hard ball with the guy while still looking about for others for me.

I have two great Kawasaki bikes that I am shipping individually as they are a great find ... The search continues
