I've been working on GS's too long

Post by canaletto5 »

So, I have a lovely set of once over rebored and refurbished Kettle barrels with a full set of new genuine Suzi pistons, rings, little end bearings etc. Cost a bomb.

I decided to dig them out to get ready to fit when, to my horror, one of the piston sets was missing! I hunted high and low for it for most of the day until I realised.. There are only three pots on a Kettle, not four.,

Wot a twonk

And you're only 60 Kev, wait till you get to Alans age. (Cos he's a lot older than you, and me  )
It is a bit worrying though especially when working on a bike, checking and double checking. Perhaps the MOT exemption isn't such a good idea.
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Oi, have less with the ageist stuff.
I feel like an 18 year old nowadays - trouble is finding one with no taste...........

Did you get all the valves fitted in the kettle cylinder head as well Kev?
Proof that four strokes are over complicated

Now that’s strange as I’ve just rebuilt my Katana motor up and it went together very easy. I did have a couple of odd looking shafts with lumpy bits on them and a chain left over? I think Suzuki must have supplied a spare drive chain when the bike was new and two clubs to keep thieves at bay
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!
