What does this give thats better than the Accent ignition at 2/3 the price??

Not 2/3. You still need the programmable Zeeltronic unit for it to work.
I'll stick to points, TYVM.

The Accent system is considered to be the one to fit Rick.

I sent Uwe an enquiry recently and got this reply. I'll be ordering one shortly.

Ive gone the other way :shock: had newtronic system on for years, after it went pooof I have reverted back to points and couldn't be happier

I've a 750A with a 'Marcel elec ignition' fitted by the PO, and a 550B and 380B on points. I cannot tell which is on points and which not, from the way they run. Minor plus with elec ign is I never have to touch it or consider timing and gaps. Big plus on points is, if I suspect ignition, I can muck about with it.
I actually bought an elec ign for the 380 when I started restoring it....10 years ago. Never fitted it.

I fitted new points and condensers on mine when I first got it, runs a treat and starts instantly. I must admit I find it therapeutic fiddling with three sets of points and timing! then again my other half thinks I'm strange :lol:
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
