Re: Electronic Ignition
Not 2/3. You still need the programmable Zeeltronic unit for it to work.
I'll stick to points, TYVM.

Re: Electronic Ignition
I've a 750A with a 'Marcel elec ignition' fitted by the PO, and a 550B and 380B on points. I cannot tell which is on points and which not, from the way they run. Minor plus with elec ign is I never have to touch it or consider timing and gaps. Big plus on points is, if I suspect ignition, I can muck about with it.
I actually bought an elec ign for the 380 when I started restoring it....10 years ago. Never fitted it.
Each to his own!
Mike

Re: Electronic Ignition
I fitted new points and condensers on mine when I first got it, runs a treat and starts instantly. I must admit I find it therapeutic fiddling with three sets of points and timing! then again my other half thinks I'm strange
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
