I put a water-based coat on (Maui Blue) and then took the tank out in the rain! What a kn*b. Interesting effect thoughmalky wrote:Yes 1.8 - OK for primer and that's about all used a 1.5 for base and 1.3 for the lacquer got more spray guns now than bikes ! I think you two need to get a room, what with comparing hole sizes and other bits.

Side panels candied and first couple of coats of lacquer. I do like the effect of Candy.
The tank decals didn't work out, They were cheap cos they were old (Like me!) and pretty much fell apart. A set of M are on the way.

The tank is ready to put on the M decals but unfortunately I'm semi-pi**ed after an afternoon barby so it will have to be another day

Well, sobered up now so decals fitted. Nice combo I think. Leave a couple of days and then clearcoat to finish off.

It is a great effect Barney but you have to apply the candy coat in a sterile lab with close circuit ventilation, not a dusty gazebo full of flies just waiting to be knocked out of the air by your spray
