T250 Mk11 Hustler speedo

Post by Tonyzed »

Hi

Does anyone have access to a parts list for a 1970 T250 Mk2 Hustler? I am trying to locate a speedo and need the correct part number. This is the speedo with a black texture on the top 2/3rds a chrome band and then a silver finish on the lower part. It has a trip meter, some don't.

Thanks

I got these numbers from :-
T 250 parts | Classic Suzuki Parts NL

The speedo you described is the same as I have on my T250R

34100-15690 speedometer, assy, kilo scale 0 € 125,00 k d
34100-15690-999 speedometer assy 0 € 125,00 k d
34200-18421-999 tacho meter assy 0 € 120,00 k d
34200-18610-999 tachometer assy 1 € 175,00 k d
34200-18621-999 tachometer assy, R model 0 € 125,00
34200-18700-999 tachometer assy, first model 0 € 125,00 k d
34910-18530 speedo meter cable assy 1 € 14,50
34911-18030 inner cable, speedo cable 2 € 9,00 t 5
34940-18030 cable, tachometer 4 € 19,50 k k
34940-36030 cable assy tachometer 3 € 17,00 k k

I doubt whether you can buy this unit new.

Hi Paul

Thanks for the reply.

Suzuki did some funny things with these speedos, which makes it hard to pick the right part.

I bought a new tacho from a guy in Sweden and then discovered that they were made in different depths. The critical measurement is the grey bit between the bottom of the flange that the chrome ring sits on and the point were it begins to taper in! Could you do me a favour and measure yours, which would probably be different to mine.
The ones on the bike (which I think are wrong) measure 100mm, the one on my new, but so far not fitted, tacho measures 150mm. The pics I have seen on line of the 1970 T250 Mk2 look like the thicker flanged one, although they are often listed as the same. I've held both in my hands so I know there are some differences.

The similar looking TS250 units of course only go up to 100mph and not 140mph as the Hustler ones do. T350 and T500 use almost identical units, some with trip and some without.

Some people are just so clever! :?

Tony
Just measured my clocks and the grey section measures 10mm from the chrome ring to the taper and 15mm overall. Hope you can find the right clocks for your model.

Thanks Paul.

I'm not quite sure why Suzuki changed them on the later models but that seems to be the case.

The part number I bought the tacho on from Sweden was 34200-18620-000, but it wasn't in a box so I don't if the guy knew for sure.

Maybe someone else can help?
