You could fill the pitting with epoxy resin, flat it off and fit some gaitors?

There's a company that advertises in the classic bike mags that hard rechrome forks.
Dunno what they charge though. If anyone knows, it might be worthwhile posting how good/bad/indifferent they are and HAAR MUCH?!?!

I've used them top job fast service ,but the finish seemed like a brushed appearance which is starting to polish up and looks sorta normal now? I've seen other fork tubes on evil bay that look polished and ready to go for the Same price!

That's exactly what I had on my last refinished tubes, The trouble is, it looks like wear. I think that for the price of new tubes being so close to refinished, you may as well go for it with the confidence they haven't had a thousand knocks and bumps to weaken them. It's a £175 to have kettle fork stanchions rechromed , i just bought a pair from legend motorcycles whilst they had a sale on for £189.99 delivered , cheers mick
