Lovely intro, enjoyed reading every bit of that. I'm still pondering the carb jetting on my GT550A having found it had 107.5, 105, 105 in it. Left to right that is. I have put 102.5 in all three as a bench mark for now, but will be doing some plug chops when the weather improves.

Looking forward to reading more about your 550 resto.

Best regards

Paul

Too much worrying about 'correct' jetting IMO. If the bike runs OK, just ride it.
They're 40+ years old FFS!

I agree Alan. Bike runs fine so if the plug colours are anything near right then it will be staying with 102.5's in all three.

Alan, Harry, I use the good old 'seat of pants dyno'. If it feels right through all throttle openings, it probably is.
Cheers,
