Well finally got my backside of the sofa and started to assemble the GT project.
Made a frame up to to support the bike, although I have the use of my friends workshop
it needed to be able to move around, also as I am modifying the exhausts I have access
was needed underneath plus it will give a reasonable height to work with.

So some old pallets from work and castors from ebay and voila!.
I know its sad to paint it red but what the hell.

Plan to get the engine in over Easter and start on the exhaust system

Well yes but there again just think of the expense? all that red paint and castors too

Yes your right the red paint was the dearest item £6.99 and the castors were £5.00,
and of course there was my time and labour which is priceless..............well that's what I
tell the missus.

I see you have your next restoration project lined up. I'm sure Noddy won't mind waiting until the Suzy is finished. He is renowned for being a pleasant chap. Big Ears is another story altogether.

What's your plan Bod?
I ask because there is still a part of me that is considering a TZ750 Kenny Roberts style Flat Track racer style for my GT.
I usually keep/copy a bunch of pictures that direct/guide/inspire me when I'm doing a resto/mod.
If you do too, can we see them?

Hi, I too was inspired by the Kenny Roberts Flat tracker and wondered what a GT750
would look like if Barry had gone Flat Tracking. I did find a picture ( See below) of one
which I believe was ridden by Pat Hennen. The project did start off to be an out and out
Flat Tracker but has mellowed slightly into a Street Tracker, I have a rendered 3d image
of the final design. the project has been dormant since Oct last year due to various issues
but I am back on it, currently remaking the exhausts.

I had one disaster, the 3D model which I did at work in my lunchtime has gone
the computer had a meltdown and as I only had it saved locally gone for good.
I do have an earlier version at home on a external hard drive, but it is only
a fraction of what I had modelled.

I have quite a few posts showing the progress and design changes and hopefully
will see it to completion this year

Hi, might be less colourful but still a good looking machine.
Like the wheels and bell mouths, do the numbers on the
side panels indicate you race the bike.

Those aren't "street" GT750 barrels are they? Genuine "TR's"?
