Or you could remove the oil pump and cut about 6" off the back of the motor and fabricate new rear mounts....

Is the GS conversion a straight fit or does it need any machiningmadforitkev wrote:Has anyone played with 6 speed conversions?
I am happy with the close ratio 5 speed GS conversion but would like to go one step farther on the special I am working on.
Has anyone ever tried grafting in a GSXR 6 speed box?

Needs some work.
Take a look at my project X posts in specials. I think I included all the detail there.

As far as I'm aware, Bartons did a 6 speed trans on the 380/500 water cooled bike they did for racing (Sheene spec, but he didn't ever use it due to the RG/RGV500 being done by Suzuki at a similar time), but not for the 750 - for sale anyway.teazer wrote: Suzuki and Barton had 6 speed transmissions for the TR

Re: GT750 6 speed
380 had a six speed so Barton were able to start there for the watercooled motor.
They also offered a six speed for a TR750 IRC, but I hate to think what that would cost if it were available from Nova. I had one of their race 5 speeds in a CB77 race bike and it cost and arm and a leg- which explains my limp...
