Hi all,

Slowly starting the resto on one of my GT550's a 1976 model.

I'll start to post some pics as i go on. Heres my starting point.

Started with the gauges as they were depressing me everytime i saw them. When i first got the bike you couldn't see anything. I hit them with a little bit of metal polish and all of a sudden something was visible.

Then i stripped them down, started with 600, then 1,200, then 2,000 and finished off with some metal polish. They look way better in real life than the pic.

Promised the wife no work would commence on this until next year so am carefully and quietly doing a few smaller jobs.

Thanks Canaletto5.

After reading through the forum I've ordered a new gear indicator from ebay and will get that back up and running. Keeping an eye on the post box as I'm keen to finish off the cluster and make my way forward and down.
