A typical tale i m afraid ! bike looked good , lots of money spent (powder coated frame ,new bearings throughout , new forks , rear mudguard , good respray , new tyres , re- spoked wheels , new sear , bars , indicators , coil etc and some spares , tank , side panels . The bike was a none runner as stated in the add and the guy was an "engineer "! i m guessing a civil engineer lol , he said it had run (lies ) no spark , new pulser coil cured that , barrels are vgc on standard but he d buchered the 6mm head stud threads , inserts now fitted , pistons vgc , oil pump weeping oil , he must have gave it a good clean before sale , new seals fitted now sorted ,exhaust baffle snapped in pipe so replacement pipe and both sent off to rechromers , down pipes were brand new .Little things were annoying , no spring on idle screw, or brake cam lever arm , no ferrel on oil pump cable to pump arm , no air filter assembly ! wrong bolts throughout . As warned by our own Baz parts for this model can be difficult to source but inspired by his job on a gt500 i ll stick with it and hopefully it ll turn out to be a really nice restored bike
