My first 550 had frame number 10595 (back in August '72) and I'm certain it had a round headlamp. Full size 7" unit that I binned a few days on and fitted a Cibié.

:!: About to start my bike had it turning on the starter
And spark at plugs.
But to day was going to fit carbs but when I turned it over it sparked at positive side of battery. Any idea
Before I pull it all apart. Thanks

Loose connection or knackered wire/terminal.
Also it will be an absolute git to start without carbs.
