Re: Kawasaki Z650c Resto
I actually paid a deposit on one from Bill Smith in Chester when they arrived in the UK. I had a test ride on his demo bike and it scared me shitless first with the strange gearshift then the shear power of the thing (it was 1972 ). I was a bit disappointed with the relative lack of power band after riding a mates H1 (which I actually prefer) ok the lifting the footrest was a bit of a pain but it’s all part of the character. I changed my mind eventually, we’ll the ex mrs changed it for me and I bought a car

Re: Kawasaki Z650c Resto
Bit of progress on Z650 clocks being stripped for clean up and brake calipers refurbed and on there way back on,
the mudguards turned out to be very solid and cleaned up well so i just sand blasted underneath and rust treated
then black smoothrite, wiring harness cleaned up well with only a couple of dodgy connections to remove where
i suspect the Yanks had put extra lights on front they love that sort of stuff bless, just waiting for my Zpower
delivery of Dyna Coils to finish that side of it , Tank etc should be done in next ten days the Painter i use tells
me so nearly there , being a sucker for punishment ive bought another z650 project and z900 one to so plenty
to play with for a while
