I wouldn’t say it should have the Pass button no. From some recent research some came with the pass button and some didn’t and then some had a 6 pin plug and some a 9 pin plug but I couldn’t see for sure which year came with what. Yours probably says 577-7 on the underside which is the same as my casing but for some reason it has the pass button as well. None of my wiring was cut either and the colours on the plugs all lined up so it’s for the correct bike.

thanks for that,i did buy a nos one with the pass button but had to return it as the connector was different so guess mine is original without, suppose it was when it was on the production line at the beginning or near the end,John

Got the chain guard on today to make sure it fitted ok. Luckily enough there were no issues and sits fine on the inside rail.

Then just a close up of the electric panel.

Long over due an update to the thread!

I had built the bike up as far as I was comfortable doing and felt it was ready to get the engine sorted out so off it went to the mainland from Northern Ireland to have the engine rebuilt and the exhausts repaired and re plated. Some of you will probably recognise who’s bench it is on.

The engine has been stripped, cleaned and polished. The crank was fully rebuilt and balanced. Cylinder bored and 0.5mm oversize pistons fitted, Accent ignition also fitted and all built up. Once the exhausts are complete these will be the final pieces of the jigsaw. Starting to get excited that I’ll soon be able to take it for a spin.
