Plastic, no idea. I wouldn't use this stuff as it will definitely dissolve many plastics!

That stuff has time travelled from the good ol days when paint stripper stripped paint faster than you can brush it on, well almost.
I have a can of it and works a treat, as Mike says, not recommended for plastic, do not ask how I know , lets just say I have a stainless rad grille now. :oops:

I've just finished the resto on this today, by putting the exhaust back on.
to be honest , apart from the frame now being black, and some small black indicators, it doesn';t look much different.
not gonna start the engine for a month or two and when mot'd I'll make a decision whether to keep it or sell it... I've the usual problem of too many bikes and not enough years left to ride them all.
