Some more progress including my solution to the age old gearbox oil problem although my first 500 did 10’s of thousands of miles With only 1200cc of oil without problem?

Turn those nuts so the tabs on the locking plates match up to the nut flats, yer prune. THEN it'll be a thing of beauty.
Hopefully the 15T front sprocket and 110 link 50HD chain will be as pretty.......

And the fun bit has started 8-) all new bearings and seals in the wheel hub and cush drive, new brake shoes and cush rubbers fitted. Slotted the wheel in the swing arm with shiny chromed bits.
Front forks & wheel plus ID plate next up.

Don't forget the split pins in the rear brake torque arm and axle Paul, or are you expecting to take 'em off again a few times?

Well spotted eagle eye :D I’m missing an oil/grease seal out of the brake side of the drum so everything is just finger tight at the moment. I could probably get away with not using one to be honest as all the new bearings are the sealed/shielded type but while it’s at this stage I might as well put one in
