slosher wrote:"Beautiful" Paul lovely work there mate 8-) , noticed the fins appear to be cast jointed to each other does it not need any rubber between the fins then.

Cheers Dave
No Dave, I’ve had a few T500’s and none of them had them fitted. Suzuki didn’t start using the rubber bungs until later on. The noise restriction probably didn’t apply in 1973

Some more done today. Tank & seat loosely fitted for posing purposes 8-) doesn’t that rear light unit look purty? Much nicer than the awful dog bone one. Thanks to Kev for sorting that out for me 8-)
Next job is connecting the controls up and fitting the handlebars. Then it’s down to sorting the electrickery

More time self isolating in the man cave today (good innit?)
Had a nice phone call off Richard who’s sent me a copy of the new V55 form for registering the bike. Some more pics for you all. Please tell me if your fed up looking at Dobbin

When I restored the clocks I didn’t seal the speedo up as I was still trying to reproduce a decent looking trip knob. So today I bit the bullet and made one up on the lathe. I have also been toying with zeroing the odometer as the bike didn’t have a speedo when I got it. The clock was bought off eBay so didn’t represent the true mileage anyway.
The main reason I didn’t zero it though was because I’ve never done it before and was worried I would feck up a perfectly good instrument. Anyhoos I’ve done it and apart from being very fiddly and I couldn’t get the last row of nines to zero it wasn’t too difficult.
