With my advancing years I'm finding it harder to move my heavier motorbikes around so I'm reluctantly going to put my Suzuki GT750A and Honda CBX 1000 up for sale - here's the Suzuki:-
It is a genuine UK bike that was bought by two Brothers (who I know) so I am the second/third owner - depending on how you look at it! I can therefore guarantee the current mileage is 22,500.
I have all the receipts (as far as I know) and no expense was spared by the Brothers at Suzuki main dealers - the receipts total over £4,000 for the first 38 years of her life! A quick summary of the important bits they did in their time:-
1. New brake hoses, seals, replacement Hagon rear shocks about 3,000 miles ago.
2. New front discs 4,000 miles ago.
3. New crankshaft oil seals 4,500 miles ago.
4. Rebore, new pistons, rings 5,000 miles ago
Purchased by me in 2014 with 19,900 miles on the clock. Had been stored in a barn but had suffered cosmetically, so I have done the following at additional even greater expense:-
1. New indicators, front and rear mudguards, airbox covers, mirrors
2. New Delkevic exhaust
3. All chrome parts either re-chromed or NOS parts purchased (at horrendous expense as you will know!)
4. Electronic ignition by Accent
5. Some powder coating (airbox, tray etc) but I haven't done the whole frame as I prefer it to have a little period character.
6. Instruments refurbished (brilliantly!) by Gary Mellors.
7. Lovely stainless steel head bolts by Mark Read.
8. New Motobat battery last week.
9. New BT45 tyres, rim protectors and inner tubes - not fitted yet but will go with the bike.
It is (IMHO) in lovely condition - not like a new bike like some of the amazing restorations we see on here but a very genuine, UK bike where all the history is known and documented.
I'd prefer to sell it to someone on the forum than open it to the lottery that is eBay and I don't think I'm being greedy by asking close to what it has cost me. As any price I mention would get a "HAAW MUCH" from Alan, I'd prefer interested parties to PM me - it may be less than you think!
It is obviously registered as an Historic Vehicle and is Tax and MoT free.

Re: Genuine GT750A for sale
Well, I paid £7,000 for mine, and am staring down the barrel of a £2,000 repair bill, JUST to get it up and running. The vendor refunded me £1000 so anything less than £8000 would be a bargain !
