Kev (Canletto) might have a set painted but is that the early or late tank you need? (Three 'single' carbs, or linked carbs - the tanks are completely different.)
I have a couple of tanks spare, but won't be home for a few days to check which type.........

Thanks lads, the bike is a 1972 J and has the separate carbs as you say Alan.
The push on badges I have(reproduction from Singapore)fitted on the J tank I'd purchased from D&K 18 months ago which upon proper inspection leaks(I've had it too long to return!) :x If you possibly have an early spare tank I'd definitely be interested?Cheers Rob.

A bit unrelated but I’ve an M model 750 GT and on ordering decals to have the tank painted I’m totally confused as to if it’s an M model tank.
I’ve two tanks, one I believe to be an L/M
The only difference, I believe, is the rad filler panel being colour coordinated with tank or painted Matt black.
My second tank has the large Matt black cover over the filler cap etc.
I honestly don’t know for certain which is correct for an M.
I’ll try and post photos of both tanks.
Thankyou Peter.

Rob

My originally Aztec Gold (AG) 'J' Canadian import came with the tank painted black. Rather than arse around with a re-spray, I bought a (chuffing expensive!) second hand AG tank from the US.

My resto is very slow moving for various reasons and I haven't really got around to deciding what to do with the black tank. Neither have I checked either of them for leaks.

I am attaching photos of them side by side for comparison and confirmation that they are both for the 'J' model. On the black one, you can see traces of the original AG paint where the fuel tap would have sat. I am also attaching a photo of the inside of the black one - not too shabby, but I can hear particles of rust (or something!) inside when I move it. It will therefore need cleaning. I shall be transferring the cap from the black one to the AG one (sorry!).

Once Alan H is back from Mallorca with his all over tan(!) and has checked his own spares, we can have a natter if he doesn't have what you need.

Regards.

I have a red 380tank on ebay now which is a good one. I only changed it as I got a nice black one from Mike Yeadon for my bike.
it's from an A model but will fit any as far as I know.
