Finally arrived home late last night after a fantastic weekend in Dudley/Brum.
Great company, and many many thanks to Richard and Jackie, our chauffers for the weekend, again. :D :D In the immortal words of Dutch "What a Guy ( and Gal )"
Enjoyed the day at the NEC, getting a spin in a 1982 Ford Cortina. Many thanks to Baz and Carmen for sharing their home with us, especially to Carmen for making all the eating arrangements, and taking the girls out shopping, we know who the brains of the outfit really are :D . The CAMRA, real ale tasting was a first for me, not being a real ale devotee, but very interesting to hear Scotch's professional take on the 10 or 12 that he tried, well I understood him for the first half dozen, after that I just smiled and nodded my head, which seemed to be the right response to whatever he was saying   As usual the meal at the Penn Tandoori was excellent, with 17 turning up, so nice to meet everyone again.Sorry to disappoint a certain Alan, but no-one reported any cases of dysentry :D .
It never fails to amaze me how such a diverse group of people have become such good friends through a love for a 40 year old motorbike, long may it last.Anyway to finish I would just like to say to anyone who has not attended a gathering of this great group of lads and lassies,be it for the Rally,or just a weekend get together, then you don't know what your'e missing,so why not give it a go at the next meet up ???

Best regards, John and Nuala.
