Steve . Couldn't we all bring a tent and stay in your yard/
also I've had an idea for a ride out... along Cleethorpes sea front to Humberston fitties and back, taking in a chippie on the pier.
Any good ?
seriusly though.. across the bridge and to Fort Paull would be good. it's an interesting place.
cheers

Avin a few days away in Gods county/Alans neck of the woods, Castleford to be precise, so updates and replies when I get back 8-)
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Andy, you're all more than welcome to camp in my back yard, there's three spare bedrooms too and the rates would be very competitive. :D However my missus wouldn't be too pleased with me bringing an ageing gang of biker rabble home, plus it'd spoil her chance of getting rid of me for four days
As for a ride out to Cleethorpes/Humberstone that'd be too much of a busmans holiday for me, so not making the shortlist. Fort Paull has gone on the shortlist though, so thanks.
The search for a hotel goes on with a venue at Horncastle firmly on the shortlist, ideally located for Cadwell Park, the seaside and several other interesting places, so top of the list so far. Another possible is Arties Mill at Brigg, I know it's been used before but it does tick a lot of boxes, any thoughts?

If your doing Fort Paull, I would add RAF Holmpton to the list of possibles, if you've never been, it is quite an eye opener !

I've never heard of that, but just googled it and it sounds very interesting.
OK.. seeing as wer'e with the air force.. how about the visitors tour at Scampton, visiting Nigger's grave.
Also there's the BBMF at Coningsby ( just amazing with a guided tour of airworthy Spits, Hurricanes and the Lanc PA474) and East Kirkby aviation museuem, complete with Lancaster "just Jane" and a taxiable mosquito.
Being an aeroplane nut, Iv'e been to all these and they are very interesting.

Steve, if we are over in East Yorkshire I may be able to organise a Spurn Safari in the Unimog. It seats 16 persons. A Military Safari down the war tunnels is also possible.
