CRANK CASES

Post by Ethnography »

Hi everyone,
I am about to bolt up the cases on my 380 but which half do you put the Threebond on before bolting up. Do I fit the crank and gear shafts, seals etc in the bottom half then coat the bottom half with the sealant working around the seals, bushes etc or do I coat the top half with the sealant and drop the top half onto the bottom.
It's just I don't want to block any oil passages in the lower half with sealant.q

Coat the bottom half and fit any seals or blanking plugs in the bottom half as well. You won't affect any oil passages. Kev

But he hasn't been back since the first post anyway.
Is it so much trouble to say 'hello' before asking questions - or making comments?
