Axle castle nut

Axle castle nut

Have just taken the rear wheel out for a new tyre and noticed that the castle nut had always been on the right side of the bike but looking at the manual it shows it on the left side of the bike. Which is correct and does it actually make any difference?

Left is the normal side , but i don't think it makes much difference , cheers ;)

Hi Trev, what bike is it ? Most GT's are left.
and yes it does mek a difference Mick but ah've forgot what for :o
I think it's so it can't come out of the side ??? Thus the split pin. ;)
If you come to the show I'll tell ya....well, somebody else will :lol:
