Candy Gold No4

Post by Russell »

I want to paint my A model in candy gold no4.

Having looked up RS's web site & spoke to them they don't sell this colour.

Does any one know were I can buy this paint? Or an alternative paint that is a close match

Cheers

Russell

Have you got anything of that colour? If you take it to a paint shop, they'll colour match it.
Remember that modern paints are no longer made of the same stuff, so even though the colour is the same, the original stuff isn't available.
Proof that four strokes are over complicated

That's the problem, I have nothing to take to get matched locally

There is a company in Germany that I think sells that colour - you can download their list at this link http://www.motorradlack.de/wp-content/u ... suzuki.pdf . Worth a look at least. 8-)

Thanks Ian, I will give them a try too!

I may have sourced a NOS side panel in Candy Gold no 4. If i get it & all else fails it would be something to match the paint to.

Russell,if all else fails,I still have the spray can that I got from RS a few years ago, half full. You can have it to get a colour match if it helps.

'Trouble with NOS panels is that some have sat on shelves for ages and they can fade, you get the rest matched up and could find it's the wrong colour ......and if you get the rest painted in the right number paint, it won't always match.

I've used RS paint before with no problems.

hmm.. that's an issue .. I'm sat here looking at a parcel despatched from RS Paints on 29.07.2015 - it contains (amongst other items) a 400ml aerosol can of Candy Gold 15372 which I was assured is the correct match for Suzuki Candy Gold no.4 (288).
