You are right imho that price is completely mad and i suspect the sale won't actually complete - all too easy for buyers to bid and then back out.
I bought mine for £1200 and it was much better than that one but has still cost loads of money to even get it to an ok state.
I also suspect that a lot of the metal won't be chromable so it's new parts so perhaps another £4K?....

Hi,

I was potentially interested in buying it, but went past my view of what it's worth very early in the bidding!

Good rideable bikes are going for around £6k, this one makes no sense. I also think there's a good chance the buyer will back out when they realise what they have done / got...

Makes you think doesn't it? I was trying to sell my 750J a while back at £8000 and only got silly offers or swaps for stuff I wasn't interested in. The only swap I thought about was for a CBX Z which in hindsight I should have gone for. Some people have a strange view on what our bikes are worth. :?
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!

that's ebay for ya
people tend to use their prices as a guide to bike prices not what that actually worth, most of them never sell or like you said the buyer backs out,2sj

Just check the ebay GT550 prices. Mine's still highest even though it's sold !
