Hi Jason & welcome also.
If you started on bikes, and finished with a Ferrari, you did well ;)
Enjoy the Kettle.

Hi Mike ....... many thanks !

After spending many nights in A&E I promised the wife to give up two wheels and move too four, hence the Ferrari. But despite this I could not get rid of the yearning to have a 2 Stroke again. I had many bikes over the years but always had an LC 350 and GT 380 at the back of the garage and always enjoyed them more than my modern bikes. So ten years later here I am with my cloths once again smelling of 2 Stroke ..... it’s good to be back !!! Just need to get it fixed and get back on the road.

Thanks again Jason

Ps ...... the wife still not happy (really not happy), but she will get over it !!!

Hi Jason,
I have so far topped out with an Audi S3 which is powerful enough that many times on smaller roads, as I grab 3rd, my brain says 'no, don't floor it again, its only a small gap between ditch on left and lorry coming t'other way'. Its well behaved but plenty fast enough in east Kent! I have floated the idea of an RS3 in a couple of years, but got dark looks on that one. The cheek of it is, my wife always takes the S3 if she can and has never had a dull, safe car (MG Midget, Renault 5 sport, Audi TT MkI etc), whereas I had Escort estate 1.3L, Nissan Stanza, Cavalier, Golf. I know, wimmin.

Hi Mike,
The S3 is a great car,the RS3 is even better ...... remember no car is too fast !!!
As the Kurgan says “it’s better to burn out than fade away”
What I learned many years ago is buy the wife the car she really wants, that way she’ll leave yours alone. The only problem with that is that my wife is a total petrol head like me, so can be expensive ;)
