Oil Pump control arm

Post by bod750 »

Hi, has anyone got a pic showing control arm connection to carb.
Manual is not a lot of help, any pics I look at the clutch cable
is obscuring it.

I have the spring, a plastic collet thingy and 2 nuts, one is brass
so highly unlikely it's original, so really checking to see if anything missing.

I've fitted a washer at each end of the spring on mine, you have all the correct parts, the plastic olive goes inside the brass swivel of the throttle arm, there is a Video on You Tube by Baz Wilkes on oil pump set up that shows the arm in operation,Baz can send you the link
Hope this helps ;)

Thanks,
My setup does not have the adjuster nut, just 2 ordinary nuts fitted

Well that doesn't look stock either. It appears to have two of 09140-04001 but should have one of those and a simple nut 09140-04002 to act as the lock nut. Stock it does not have washers either side of the "olive". At least not according to the parts list I have.

BAz's version is also not OEM original. He uses a nyloc nut and that's what I typically use as well.
