Just got my GT750A back on the road after a 5 year lay off
Started and runs just fine but noticed that while the outer spark plugs are a nice light brown colour the middle plug is wet/oily
In addition the middle exhaust to head clamp was a bit loose and oil was running down the front of the engine
I've now fixed the exhaust seal to the engine but where else should I be looking?
Or should I just go and give it a good thrash?
Thanks!

Go for a long ride high speed at light throttle before worrying. large throttle pumps to much oil in.

Might be worth whipping out the SRIS valve and check it's not blocked and keeping the waste oil in the bottom of the crankcase.

Thanks for the replies
Think a thrash is in order first
How would I check the SRIS valve is working?

When you refit don't overtighten they are delicate...not a major problem if blocked some owners do that deliberately..

If you remove the valve soak it in petrol then wipe it and blow into the valve (big hole side) then suck and you should hear/ feel the valve opening and closing. As Baz says it won't stop the engine working but may account for excess oil in the cylinder if the valve is stuck shut.

Just taken a look at the bike and the valves are buried deep in the crankcase behind exhausts
What's the best way to remove them?
